Michael Pitcher of "The Southampton Press" newspaper broke the story of a Riverhead, Long Island resident who mistakenly received faxes of official documents related to the federal TWA Flight 800 investigation. The resident, Dede Muma, had a telephone line connected to her own fax machine with a number close to the number being used to direct investigation-related faxes to FBI and other personnel on Long Island. A transposition of the last two digits in the intended destination's phone number by the sender connected the sending fax machine to Ms. Muma's fax machine instead. The coversheet of the fax Ms. Muma received indicates it was from a worker at Teledyne Ryan Aeronautical in San Diego to a coworker helping the FBI on Long Island. The fax, actually multiple faxed pages, concerns rear structures of a drone aircraft Teledyne Ryan manufactures for the US military: the "Firebee" drone. TWA pilot Stacey Terrell, like most others at Calverton, was frustrated by the obvious FBI stonewalling with regards to the results of the testing of the residue, and when it became clear that information was being withheld from the NTSB and TWA personnel at the hanger, Stacey, according to his sworn statements, obtained two samples of seat material tainted with the red residue (pictured above) for the express purpose of having them analyzed by an outside laboratory. To accomplish this, Stacey gave the samples to investigative journalist James Sanders, who was investigating the downing of Flight 800 at the request of his wife's co-workers at TWA, who were equally frustrated and angered at the official obfuscations. The test results, revealing a mixture of metals consistant with materials found in military missiles, was then published in the Riverside Press-Enterprise. The FBI moved quickly to recover the remaining samples of red residue from West Coast Analytical Services and from CBS News. This means that the government retained two untested samples of the exact same material that James Sanders had had analysed. However, Cashill's agenda is to protect the US Navy by claiming that the missile, launched from the middle of an ongoing live-fire US Navy test of an anti-missile system, was fired by terrorists, rather than the Navy itself. Cashill seems to feel that terrorists are clever enough to get a large missile in past US customs and security (TWA 800 was too high for a man portable missile to reach) yet dumb enough to sail right into the middle of a fleet of US Navy ships to stage the attack, rather than launch from further west, away from the US Navy ships, and where the departure path would have brought the target lower down and within range of smaller missiles. Worse, Cashill seems to feel that the entire US Navy is a hopeless bunch of goofballs, because AFTER Cashill's mythical terrorists fired off a missile from the middle of the US Navy test of an anti-missile system, killing the 747, the US Navy apparently did not notice that a missile had been fired from the middle of their anti-missile system test, did not give chase to the supposed terrorists, did not call for additional assets to be deployed from the shore to help locate and apprehend the terrorists. Ships and planes converged on the crash site, but nobody went looking for any terrorists at the bottom of that smoke trail that hundreds of people on shore could clearly see. Finally, Cashill seems unable and unwilling to explain why the NTSB and FBI would work do hard to protect those terrorists. For every other terrorist event that occurred during the Clinton years, Clinton was hot and bothered to milk them for all possible political gain. He joked with reporters on Air Force One that the OK City bombing was the best thing that happened for his anti-terror agenda. So, if TWA 800 was a terrorist attack, and ignoring for a moment that the US Navy did not react as if it were a terrorist attack, why didn't Clinton milk it the way he did OK City, the Olympic Park bombing, and so forth? Both the NTSB and FBI were caught in court falsifying test results. The NTSB and FBI protecting terrorists?
