This is astonishing, and unbelievable!
Or rather, unbelievable blindness. It seems these people don't know how
to use google, and/or can't get their corporate sponsors to fund research
that might implicate the corporates and their products.
In fact, in most cases the research has already been done, at least to
show causative links, if not the actual mechanisms of effect.

Just from a quick look around:-

Margarine -> Asthma link
Aspartame -> huge range of severe illneses.
Canola Oil -> ditto.
Cell phones -> cancer, immune system problems, brain damage.
Meat based animal feeds -> BSE -> human CJD.
Deodorants, anti-persirants -> breast & lymph cancers.
Solvents, plasticisers -> cancer, gender development problems.
GM & processed foods ->  brain tumors, Multiple Sclerosis, leukemia, obesity, ADHD
Sodium/potassium salt imbalance -> wide range of disorders.
Soy foods -> wide range of disorders.
Aluminium -> nervous system and kidney disorders.
Lead -> neurological toxin.
Mercury (Thimerosol) in immunization shots -> autism, neurological damage.
Mercury in dental fillings -> neurological & immune system illness.
Teflon cookware -> various poisonous gasses, assorted medical effects.
Microwave cooking -> loss of vitamins, blood factor effects.
Pesticides, herbicides -> wide range of health problems.
Water fluoridation -> http://www.nofluoride.com/
Petrol fumes, car & jet exhaust -> many illnesses & cancers.

And those idiots still speak of 'unexplained increases' in illnesses!

For those others who's eyes are open, do your own net-searching. Google
the above terms, together with 'harmful', 'poisonous', 'risks', etc.

Face it people! Replacing any natural product with human engineered
materials, and introducing new materials and practices, is fraught with
subtle, unforseen and long term risks. Risks that tend to show up long
after the products are in widespread use, and then only slowly. Risks
that are almost always denied and suppressed by those whose agendas
lean more to profits than morality.

Those 'unintended consequences' sure can bite hard!
I'd say that if we keep on pretending the problem's cause is 'a mystery'
long  enough, we might manage to make it go away entirely - by sending
ourselves extinct. No more problem then.
