Subject: The Anti-Microsoft League PostedDate: 23/10/95 13:18:15 Fellow Realist, I think we'll have to form some kind of underground anti-microsoft group with the purposes of informing people about reality, combating the MS-Hype (tm), and generally bringing the Truth to light. Its amazing the number of people who don't have a clue around here. Cheers, Mark P.S. I think I'm going to start writing all my docs in Latex from now on....I think we've a CDROM with the whole package ready to go. Then again, maybe I'll just install Linux and get something reasonable to work on. Pity I won't be able to run Notes to keep up with the Software Discussion group ;-) PostedDate: 24/10/95 14:57:31 Subject: Re: The Anti-Microsoft League >Fellow Realist, >I think we'll have to form some kind of underground anti-microsoft group Have you looked at newsgroups alt.destroy.microsoft and alt.fan.bill-gates ? Not to mention alt.nuke.the.USA Fertile recruiting ground for the Blinding Light Anti-Microsoft Militia (BLAMM!) Ian would be in it too, I'm sure. He's already ARMed even. As for our revolutionary timetable, I've begun to put it about that Jul 6th, 1998 is to be international 'Raze Microsoft to the ground' day. Gives us something to work towards, anyway. >Cheers, >Mark ----------------------------------- Can you find the Latex CDROM? I'd like to have a browse on it. Not that I feel any need to use it, just curious. I'm drawn to the idea of using Linux though. There are some CD roms around with the whole thing, heaps of freeware utilities, a C compiler (with source), Internet software, etc (so they say on the packet). Total price: $25. Trouble is, I'm kind of fond of some of the utilities I use now, particularly my DOS text editor. And I can imagine the sort of trouble getting it all up and running would be. Much worse than getting out of bed in the morning. Lazy, huh? Quite a lot of people on the nets claim to be running Linux machines. ("Microsoft Free" boxes) Ahhh.. DOS. I love the smell of napalm in the Microsoft Office. Give me a command line, or give me death! Here is something I posted yesterday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- .....See HAILBILL.TXT
